WIN: Astana - Enisey 80:87 OT

The Men's team of BC Enisey wins over Astana in overtime in the match of the regular VTB United League Championship.

Fast breaks and individual skill of Burford allowed Astana to make a 9-point spurt surprisingly easily at the start of the 3rd quarter. Before the final segment of the meeting, the hosts kept the lead in the score - 56:46.

It seemed that the yellow and blue would calmly bring the meeting to victory. But at the last minute, 4 quarters of the Siberians accelerated. “Three” by Vladislav Trushkin and two with a foul from Alexander Gudumak reduced the gap of Eenisey to one throw - 67:70. And after the hosts made a mistake when throwing in the ball, this same throw was made by Rayon Brown - 70:70.

The game went into overtime. This season the Krasnoyarsk team has already lost twice in extra time to Avtodor and UNICS. But then Vladislav Trushkin was not in our composition. It was his “three” at the last minute of the match that brought the Siberians' leadership to the mark of “+5” - 83:73. - Congratulations to my team, this is a great victory for us. It is always difficult to play against Astana on their home court, especially this season. We approached this game with respect and hoped to win. We didn't start the match the way we wanted, especially on defense. In the second quarter everything was perfect, we controlled the course of the game, and in the third we had problems again. We showed character and fighting spirit, returned to the game and secured an important victory for us.

- Unfortunately, we lost the game. I don't know how many points you need to score with a minute left to win. With 50 seconds left, we won 6 points, but Enisey managed to equalize the score. When we played fast and made quick decisions, we scored easy points in the fast break. When we slowed down the game, tried to act effectively or to the public, we gave Yenisei the opportunity to return to the game. I am very upset as we had to win.
